Sana Hospital Templin offers MRI diagnostics with medneo's mobile solution State-of-the-art
Berlin/Templin, January 26, 2021 -
In rural regions, there are usually not many facilities that can offer high-quality MRI examinations. Often, acquisition and operation are too expensive with too few patients. In Templin, Sana Gesundheitszentren GmbH at Sana Krankenhaus Templin has changed that and launched a new concept together with medneo. Since January 1, a state-of-the-art mobile magnetic resonance tomograph (MRI) has been available for all patients in the region two days a week at the beginning. The MRI trailer is located directly on the hospital grounds at Robert-Koch-Strasse 24. "Especially in rural regions, the density of high-end imaging diagnostics is usually relatively low. For this reason, I am particularly pleased to now provide our mobile MRI solution in Templin at the Sana hospital site," says André Glardon, co-founder and managing director at medneo. The joy is shared by Detlef Tabbert, mayor of the city of Templin: "The mobile MRI gives all citizens of the region access to a radiation-free MRI examination without having to travel far. Our many senior citizens in particular will be especially pleased."
Due to its central location, the MRI center is easily accessible by public transportation. Sufficient parking spaces are available for cars on the hospital grounds. The mobile MRI center is open on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (appointment number: 0 30 / 567 963 50). In addition to state-of-the-art technology, very well-trained specialist staff are part of the solution offered. Patients with private and BG as well as statutory insurance are examined at the MRI center.
"Until now, patients sometimes had to travel further distances to be able to take advantage of an MRI examination. With the mobile unit at our hospital, we are closing this gap in Templin and also reducing waiting times for an appointment," says Florian Schulz, Director of Sana Hospital Templin, with pleasure.
At Sana Krankenhaus Templin, the MRI center complements the services offered by the existing in-house radiology practice, which is operated by Sana Gesundheitszentren Berlin-Brandenburg. "With the new mobile MRI, we can significantly expand the range of services for our patients. Since we don't have to worry about imaging, we can focus entirely on medicine," says Christian Quack, Managing Director of Sana Kliniken Berlin-Brandenburg, summarizing the advantages of medneo's solution.
"Our doctors can flexibly access high-quality MRI images in the trailer without our hospital having to purchase such a cost-intensive device itself. In addition to a basic usage fee, we only pay for the individual clinical images under the so-called "pay-per-use" model instead of for the entire device including the trailer," adds Dr. Felix Rehder, Managing Director of Sana Gesundheitszentren Berlin-Brandenburg.
